Day 2 Auckland, NZ
We had an
incredible, but also long and exhausting first day in New Zealand, so it made
it easy to fall right asleep! We woke up and had breakfast with our families,
then all met up and we were off on our adventures for the day. We took a ferry
from Aukland to Devonport, which was so beautiful. Once we were on shore, we
drove up Mt. Victoria, and were absolutely in awe. The view was like nothing we’ve
ever seen!! Everything is so green and beautiful here. We took enough selfies
to last us about 10 years! While we were there we found barracks, and had some
fun ghost hunting and getting the crap scared out of us for a while. After we
spent some time overlooking the breathtaking view of the ocean and islands, we
were getting pretty hungry, so we ate lunch at a restaurant called the Stone
Oven Bakery. We were in heaven! We tried new foods and desserts that were more
than satisfying! Once we were nice and full of some amazing New Zealand food,
we decided to go look around the mall and some shops for a while, but most of
us walked down to the beach, which was only a few minutes away. We played some
football, Frisbee, skipped rocks, and just soaked in the amazing experience of
it all! We couldn’t stay for too long though because we had to head back to
Auckland for our match. We played a local club team, and represented our
Wolverines well! We won all five sets! After the game we all took off with our
families for a victory dinner and a post victory good nights sleep. We are so
incredibly grateful for the opportunity we have had to be here and have the
time of our lives with each other and our amazing families!! Day 2, you treated
us so well J
