Today we arrived in Auckland New Zealand at a lovely 5:30 am. Our first day started off by taking a ferry ride across Auckland Harbor over to Devonport. It was so fun! We experienced the township by taking a bus tour and seeing the land with Stevo our bus driver/tour guide. We went “as the crow flies” up Northhead to see the beautiful view. As we were going back to Auckland we saw two people running after the ferry and it just so happened to be our two freshmen... Erica and Patti :) Sadly to say, they had missed it and got left behind to catch the next one 30 minutes later. Afterward, we were able to go to the Kidz First children’s clinic at the Middlemore Hospital. We got the opportunity to deliver blankets, hats and stuffed animals we had collected to the children and spend time hanging out and playing with them. Ritchie beat everyone with his pink shirt power on the Wii! Even at our own game of volleyball! The first day ended with practice at Avondale College, and we were finally allowed to go to sleep!

Of course the girls missed the Ferry for chocolate! I guess that's better than for a guy?
