Day 7… May 11, 2010… Temple/Game Day

Hey, this is Rachel:
Tuesday we woke up and got ready to go the temple to do baptisms for the dead. The New Zealand temple was beautiful and we all had a great experience being able to be there as a team to serve the people of the church, as well as our Savior. Those who were endowed were able to do a session, it was a great experience. All of us girls who performed baptisms for the dead were baptized by Coach, which was awesome. It was amazing to see all of us in white serving the Lord in His holy house. Going to the temple was so neat and showed how the work of the Lord is the same throughout the world.
After the temple we went back to our families and had lunch. We all left to go to a school called SPI (South Pacific Institute). It was a school for individuals to learn English as a second language. We all played games with the students and then bought some tee-shirts which helped support the school.
Once we left the school we went SHOPPING! Highlight of our shopping experience was that me (Rae), CFa, and Allyce were lost for about 30 minutes trying to find the Count Down grocery store. We were running around freaking out, hoping that Coach wouldn’t get mad... he didn’t, thankfully!
After shopping we went back home, and got ready to kick some booty!! The volleyball game was at 5:30 p.m. at the Church School CCNZ (Church College of New Zealand). The game started out a little rough, but all went well. Kayli was six-packed for the first time in her life… And Jaicee, on the other hand, completely missed the ball when she approached to hit…. It was pretty funny, all we saw was the ball hit the floor and her hair fly haha. The game was awesome!! Tricc dominated the right-side and blocked the outside hitters like crazy! The match went well and we won every game.
Once the game was done we had a big get-together with all of the families. We ate a lot of yummy food! We sang songs, laughed, and cried. These families welcomed us into their homes and we are so grateful for their love, and willingness to serve us. We will miss them.

Until tomorrow… Love Rae!
